The conference will highlight recent advances in the following topics related to development and organization of the cerebral cortex: proliferation, migration, areal and laminar specification, axonal guidance, circuit formation, functional plasticity, repair and evolution.

To promote interactions between students and senior researchers, the schedule will allow informal discussions, roundtables etc....

The course / symposium is open to graduate students and senior scientists. We highly encourage poster presentations. English will be the official language.

No fees will be charged, however registration to the event is required, and attending students will be granted with a certificate. Students enrolled in the Graduate Program in Morphological Sciences (PCM) will be evaluated after the course to receive a grade and credit.

PRE-REGISTRATION is now closed.
Late registration will be possible at the symposium desk.

=> on 28/11/2001: 262 registred participants and 44 posters.
